it was a bit of a poor turn out on Saturday... 2 454s ONLY. we need to get our backsides in gear and make more of an effort. if an owner from Leeds can make an effort to make the 4 hour journey down, then those who are local have no real excuse. while some may have prior commitments, there really is no reason to drive down and make the 454s presence known. we are the 'reject' Smart owners, considered by some.

my forfour got a fair amount of attention, can you imagine if there were more there...

It's looking like l might not be attending this time 

A visit to S2 with my CDi had to be recheduled, as it will be having
a complete suspension change...back to standard before l move it on,
and it is the only day/time Rob could fit it into my calendar !
So....if its all done by the end of the day then l might just meet up
with Problemchild at the Beaulieu Smart meet on Sunday instead.

For any of us to help you, we need to know more about the ForFour you have,
as with those details we will then be able to 'narrow' down the possible answers
or suggestions to those that may be relevant, as each model has differences, ok.
So...is it a:-
(1) a 454, or a 453 ForFour
(2) what size is the engine
(3) is it petrol or diesel
(4) is it a manual or an AMT
(5) and though not strictly relevant..what model (ie, Pure, Pulse, Passion, Cool Style, or Brabus)

Hello, My Smart Forfour has a problem with the engine jumping when starting from a standstill. I feel some movement in the engine compartment, but it is not due to load. Does anyone know what could be causing this problem? Thanks.

I would say negotiate the price a little, see if you can bring it down. The Brabus I got was in a very poor state but if you can invest a little and put time into it I'm sure you will get somewhere.

Worst case scenario if it doesn't run sell it for parts, further down the line someone on here could buy it from you as a whole. I might be interested depending on the situation and time.

However the seller is not engaging much, tried messaging about how many keys and other stuff but no response.

It's a shame but understandable why you let your beloved 454CDi go...
but it's good that you found it a new owner who is cherishing it.
