So, in March I have a phone call from the boss. We have a new job. How quickly can you get to Heathrow, and are you available for 6 days (like I can say "no", its my job). Less than 12 hours later I was on a plane.
As it was only 6 days, rather than get a taxi, I drove, and left the Brabus in a long term car park I have often used before near Heathrow. Its secure, and it is full of expensive motors, so I dont have a problem with leaving my pride & joy there. Besides, the company pay.
The job didnt go to plan, and I flew home yesterday, the Brabus having been in the car park for almost 2 months.
Did it start?
It was covered in bird cr+p and it had a flat tyre.
I walked up to it, and pressed the key. It unlocked. One flash of the indicators, as normal.
I opened the boot to get the jack and space saver. The interior light came on as normal.
I think its the first time I have ever had a puncture in daylight in the sun, changing the wheel was almost a pleasure.
Got in, turned the key. What do you reckon?
Burst into life and settled down into its normal (for cold) fast idle as though it had just been left for a few hours.
Cannot complain about that
