Smart - the only car company where it’s ENTIRE range is available in electric ..... hahahaha what a joke.

I’m hoping my next car will be full electric

I'd like to see 1st gen. ForFour electric with at least 30kWh battery.

On 2nd gen. ForFour there is nothing special if it comes to interior. Such a shame.

There is other electric concept model, ForJoy 🙃
Like the wheels especially  :)

Good job the ForJoy was only a 'concept' as I doubt anyone;
with any sense that is; or any insurance company for that matter
would offer cover for it as there is zero side impact protection !

I liked the ForJoy concept, especially the interior. If they offered that with gloss white door frames, gloss white horizontal bar across the roof (like the Passion 454 roof now) and see through doors panels, I'd be half tempted.

Some interesting stuff here about an EV Colt concept Mitsu were building back in 2005...

http://www.carpages.co.uk/mitsubishi/mitsubishi-colt-part-1-13-05-05.asp

No idea where that effort went, but they obviously thought the Mitsi Colt (and so therefore it's close cousin, the ForFour) was a good platform for an EV at the time.

Update:
Search Google for Mitsubishi Colt EV (2005).
I wonder if one of these cars were obtained, could the parts could be retrofitted to Forfour?

Zytek built a very interesting diesel forfour hybrid, with a starter generator and a traction motor, and plug in capabilities.

Miev (or the Citroen or pug version) is too slow and range too short.

The new eGolf has 200miles range and decent performance

748 miles range one charge.
165.8kWh battery... fit that to ForFour 😮

Not cheap, but cheapest is to build electric car, especially battery on your own. I'd love use Brabus ForFour 1st gen, as a base.
What I love about electric drive is that, when idle, going downhill for example, engine is charging battery so efficiency is really bigger than any combustion engine.

I am pretty sure there are companies on the market which can convert any car into electric. I wonder what would be cost to do it in Brabus.
