Entry from 9.00am, the Meet 'officially' starts at 9:30am. (Ends 3.00pm)
so let's see just how many ForFour's can manage to be mustered
for this annual event.

If the weather hold's out then it's not a bad venue.
Tickets allow access to all the Museum exhibits and attractions...
and it is a great museum to look around. The home cooked food
that is available in the restaurant isn't badly priced, considering.

Anyway, weather permitting, who will be up for this meet....
or maybe even 'tubing' (tube of Smarties) it down the M3 from London
to the event...or even meeting up at a rendezvous beforehand and
making a ForFour 'grand entrance' en masse ?

I won't be able to organise any convoy/tube for this, or make it to
this event as I will be at Brands Hatch with the S2smartsRacing Brabus
at the last Britcar event of the season...the 2 day 'Race Into The Night'
that will be on Saturday and Sunday....so who want's to take the lead
or 'reins' on this event on behalf of the ForFour 'Brigade' ?

Ticket prices/details:-
The Simply Smart Event is held on Remembrance Sunday, 9th November.
If you are arriving in and displaying a Smart car, then advance tickets are
£10 per adult and £5 per child (5-16yrs old), under 5's free.
These are available up to 7th Nov2019.
On the day, tickets are the usual £12 adult and £6 children.
(The tickets allow access to all the Motor Museum exhibits/attractions.)

The Simply Smart tickets can be bought for this event via this link:-

As a suggestion....
If owners wish to meet up and form a 'tube of Smarties'
to roll in as a group to this event, then there are a couple
of options after setting a rendezvous time scale :-
1/ meet up at one particular 'entrance' to the New Forest
and then set off as a group from there at a set time...
OR...
2/ when one enters the estate there is quite a big 'entrance'
area where everyone could meet up and form a group,
then at a set time all 'tube' into the grounds..one behind
           the other.

I've managed to organise things along those lines a couple of times...
so it's not too hard to set up....just someone needs to take the lead
is all.  What say you to that JJ ?

I couldn't make this, I'll be in Cheltenham for the weekend, which rules out Ace Cafe for me as well :(

I think the biggest issue here is, is that this event is held too
close to the Ace Café one....the very next day.
Also the time of year isn't ideal as it's more often than not cold,
wet and windy....at 3 of the 4 I've attened that is.

Still...I suppose in some respects it can be viewed as an event
for those in the S.West of England rather than the Ace cafe which
is more of a London area event, eh ?  Which then begs the question...
why not one around the South East..like Norwich.

The Beaulieu one is soooo much better than ace cafe though.

So much more to do and more space for more cars

Guess people don’t like paying or travelling

I won't disagree with you completely, but as I've done/been to both on
more than one occasion I can see upsides and downsides to both, and
there are other things that need to be taken into consideration.

Beaulieu
Upsides:- It's a nice venue, pleasant surroundings, there are the
exhibits to see if you are bored looking at or talking Smarts,
or you want somewhere to 'hide' to avoid anyone..LOL
Downsides:- Not so nice if the weather isn't favourable.
Exhibits inside can be much the same year on year,
                    food expensive.

Ace Café.
Upsides:- Simple venue, great variety/selection of food (not as
expensive as Beaulieu). Always a good atmosphere (my opinion).
Downsides:- parking are is small/cramped...but usually accomodates
all that turn up. Like Beaulieu, the weather can make/break it.
Location/traffic at the end of the event can be a bit of a mare,
but if one leaves before the end then not so bad.

One downside to both is the clickiness of the 'die-hard' 3 wheel bolt
Smart enthuiasts towards 454 owners. They 'tolerate' us (just) because
our cars have Smart badges, whereas 454 owners have no such issues.
But be that as it may, there are a lot more ForTwo and Roadster owners
than there are 454 owners, so yes we will be in a minority, but a Smart
owner is a Smart owner no matter which model it is, however...most
454 owners are not enthusiasts, and I think that's why not many of
us turn up or bother with such events. Shame really.....

Anyway, having 2 Smart meets on the same weekend will always be an
issue to most, unless they are a real die hard enthusiast and have no
family plans or engagements prearranged that take priority.
As I stated earlier, each is more or less an event for those who either
live in the locality/area, so shouldn't be compared or judged as such.
(Think I've waffled on long enough on this.....)
