I tried an 'opened up' airbox on my Brabus; like I have on my
remapped CDi; but the result was totally different !
Although it had a glorious induction roar and the wastegate
type chatter on the overun that made one think it was faster,
it actually performed worse when I checked the figures out.
It was 'flat' at the top end and it even drank more go-go juice !

A couple of days later I refitted the original airbox with an
ITG filter and got back everything that was 'missing', and
what a relief that was.

What was the headwind?

Drag is your biggest killer

Having said that I’ve had my brab up to that speed before I chickened out and it was still accelerating

I've decided not to worry about it. How often am I really going to be driving that speed... I did it on two separate occasions and both times it topped out at 125mph...

Gonna be putting my sub and amp in soon, so that wont help matters. And I dont want to get rid of the induction kit either.

I'll just wait til my next car for something quick!  :P
