Alarm
« on: May 18, 2021, 11:16:04 PM »

Hi guys,

Hope all are well. This may sound ridiculous but I wanted to know what the FF alarm sounds like. Anyone able to give a sample?

It's about 11pm and there is an alarm going off somewhere. It is coming and going but when I step out towards the car which is parked a few doors down it goes silent and I can't tell where it is coming from. My car or something else?

Do the lights flash when the alarm goes off?

I have run towards the car 3 times now and as soon as I step out this noise disappears!

I also pressed unlock and lock while I heard the alarm in my home but it didn't stop. As soon as I pop out it's gone!

Indicators flash and the sounder goes off… I should know as my alarm keeps going off where i park at work because of the lorries that drive past

The other way to test the alarm is to drop one window and lock it. After about 2 minutes stick your arm inside and the alarm should go off

Thanks for the reply mate. Just to check, in any given situation if the alarm activates. Does pressing the unlock button on the remote immediately switch it off?

pressing the unlock button on the fob will disarm the alarm, but it will reactivate if the doors are not opened within 30 seconds

Easily stop that happening mr singh...
in the centre dash where the hazard light button is are 2 buttons with
car symbols on them....press the one with the 'level' car before you
exit, then when you've closed the door/s, activate the locking button
on the keyfob.
That button on the dash de-activates the interior sensor, which is
the one that gets 'disturbed' by vibration and strong winds.
(The other is 'inclined car' button is to disable the alarm if/when the
car is being towed by a recovery vehicle when your car is locked)
