Another great forfour MOT pass!
« on: November 29, 2012, 11:58:39 AM »

Yup, flying colours.  And chatting to them after they check the exhaust at every section and every joint, so I can safely assume there are no leaks.  Emissions also are ever so slightly better than last year!

Last year had four advisories - one for each wheel having a knackered bead rim - this year had zero.  Yay!

The young assistant to the tester thrilled me when he told me how awesome my car is too.  He'd never seem a Brabus Smart before, and driving it from the car park into the testing bay he'd been surprised by how it pulls, how it feels, how it sounds, and how comfortable it is!  We chatted about it for a good few minutes, and I of course tried to persuade him to go get one :P

He also said the clean pass was testament to how well the car is looked after (and how good the cars are to begin with), which it certainly has been for the past year, so all in all I'm very happy :)

What are good light bulb upgrades-without xenon hids? I looked at piaa extreme white, but they are pricey -£55!

The PIAA ones are some of the best you can buy but theoretically, I think they are just as "illegal" as HIDs from what I have read (used to have PIAA plasma spark ones on my fortwo and they lasted 3 years with blowing)

Have ordered some Philips x-treme vision off eBay. Will see how they compare. Standard ones I have currently are not much cop. Have ordered some led side lights as well - hopefully the front lights will look more whiter then yellow
