We need a good turn out for this one everybody.... PLEASE.....
to make up for the one solitary ForFour that managed to brave it
to the last Ace Café meet held there in November 2012. OK ?

Start time - 11:00am
End time   - 4:00pm

Parking can be tight...as the meet is shared with ForTwo's and Roadsters.
If you don't intend staying till near the end, then make sure you tell the 'marshalls'
so that they can park you where you can get out easily or without too much hassle.

It's also the same 'recipe' as previous Smart meets at the Café....
Do not bring your own food or drinks...
that is part of the agreement with the management to use this venue....besides...
the food they have available is 'to die for'....and ALL the food and drinks are great
and very reasonably priced ! (Seriously)
Just try the Chilli 'n' cheese on chips to see what I mean....
They also do real steak beef burgers and normal steaks etc etc.
There's no horse met hee...the biker boys would string the owners up if they tried ! !
It's all real good tasty food, with prices that make it hard to choose what meal or dish
it is going to be that you will eventually get ya teeth into or gums round !

Please don't expect a massive venue, ok. It's small....but friendly....like a 'local' pub
meet in fact. Bu tthe food and the nostalgia make up for anything lacking. Just check the
weather forecast before you make the run down to this event, ok.  If rain is forecast then
it's not really the place to be....just so long as it's dry it'll be fine.

By Road Travelling anti-clockwise on the North Circular Road:
Take the second exit - signposted for Park Royal - after the traffic lights
at Brentfields  Road (where you'll see Ikea and McDonalds).
Turn right, then right again onto the old  North Circular Road.
The Ace is 100 yards on the left.

Travelling clockwise on the North Circular Road:
Take the first exit after Hanger Lane - signposted for Park Royal -

Righto.....a lovely sunny day made the day...that coupled with
the good food available and the atmosphere, as well as it being
an oppurtunity to meet some of our latest ForFour members.

Attendee's from here were myself, cowboyand kimi.
There was also a 'non-member' couple present in a black Trid/white panels 1.5
(with eyelashes !), and they will be signing onto the site over the weekend as
they weren't aware of our little forum !

Anyway, overall the meet wasn't as well attended as previous ones, basically
I guess due to peops expecting another cold day and making other plans. Shame
considering how warm n sunny it turned out to be.  But anyway, there was a lot of
chat between the 3 members.....with cowboy eager to mod his Brab as per
musmarts....and he had hoped that he would attend, but it was not to be.

kimi (jim) drove down from Lichfield with his friend in a 1.3 silver and black AMT,
but he admitted the car is really his wifes....(oh yeah.....we'll let her think it is, eh ?)
Nice chat with him and his mate....and they might be posting a few pics of the 'few'
ForFours that made it....(and hopefully not pictures of of other model Smarts...hehehe)

All I can say is...is that it was a shame that more of us ForFour owners didn't manage
to make it.....as the day itself was REALLY sunny and quite warm, considering the
weather that we've been having recently. Lets hope that the Ace Café do in the latter
part of the year will be better attended by owners of ForFours.

What a good day spent at the Ace Cafe, sunny warm and it was really good to meet both CrazyG and Cowboy , plus all the other Smart fans  . Big thanks to G for sharing loads of info and suggestions on how to fix and improve my ForFour,------ O.K the 'wife's ForFour' (mine if i get my way though  ). Pity more ForFours were not there but the day was not expected to be as good as it was (weather etc). Anyway it was a great atmosphere people were very friendly and the food is to die for (well almost!), no really the Cheese and chili chips as G said were really Ace!-- Oh sorry. We talked about future meets and as i promised, i will head up to Donnington Park in the next week or so and ask about the possibility of a track day and a ForFour meet there. I also spoke to a couple of the other Smart drivers about the possibility of them adding the meeting to their list and coming along to help reduce the costs of the track day, they seemed interested (what do you guys think  ?) well to end the day i have a pic of CrazyG leaving the Ace in a cloud of grit and gasses  well not quite !

Sorry I wasn't there, things happened.  It's quite normal for forfours to be rare at Smart meets - after all there aren't many of them.  Last S2 meet, mine was the only forfour there except for G's which was enjoying a nice wash, and S2's own one.  I got asked by two people what it was.

Looking forward to Donnington, I hope I can make it..!  I've yet to do a track day, it would be good to see how I fare

Unfortunately a lot of us work weekends and if my shift happens to fall on a weekend, I cannot attend.

I have the same problem with shifts LadyV....
I work 7 weekends out of 12....and I do nights as well !
Sometimes (not everytime) one just has to take a Leave Day to attend a meet.
