Little bit quiet?? (summer projects)
« on: June 17, 2010, 10:14:42 PM »

I know it's been a little bit quiet (world cup, sun, BBQ, driving etc) but I thought I'd just let you all know what my plans are over the next few months....

1) fog lamp/indicator replace how to - I'm upgrading the bulbs to some whiter ones to match my hids
2) investigating some led daylight running lights (ala Audi, merc and now vauhall)
3) thinking of a vinyl graphics wrap for the roof ... Mini-esc
4) engine performance work v3 - no more to be said at the moment
5) big brake kit and updated/colour coded brake lines
6) black headlight insides ala brabus concept
7) rear spoiler options
8) front splitter options

what about the rest of you??

JJ

Cleaning my air filter at the weekend and may give the air box a scrub too.

Hmm... hopefully getting my discs and pads replaced.

Boring general maintenance on her from now on. Nothing exciting.

Quiet is good, it means that people's cars aren't breaking down and things aren't going wrong. It also means that people have a life and are off the internet.

We don't need constant activity. Without random chatting you can't expect something new every day.
I'm happy for the forum to be quiet until someone needs our help.

I'm saying nothing....as I don't want anyone to know what devilish things I'm working on and will be working on
(except JJ and Evil) in the lead up to the Festival in September.

From my opinion is better to write what plans we have with our cars because like this peops can be inspired
and like this peops can see the power of this car, and that it is tuneable :-)

Air is drawn into the cylinder of a diesel engine and compressed by the rising piston at a much higher compression ratio than for a spark-ignition engine, up to 25:1. The air temperature reaches 700-900 C, or 1300-1650 F.

Can agree in a way with you Cosmin, but there is no point 'geeing' peops up with ideas etc
if the proposed mods come to nothing or do not work, or get peops to spend money on
something that turns out to be useless or unnecessary.
Better to wait n see how it turns out and if beneficial or an advantage. And then do a full
write up with pictures if possible.  That is what inspires.

True true !! My dad used to get flashed all the time by other drivers for having his lights on during the day !!!

Given me an idea though for halo rear DLRs ;)

If you do fit the 'crap' DRL (as I call them) they have to switch off when you switch your side lights/dip beam on,
cos they have to be a certain height off the ground for them to be used as side lights like on Audi's.
