Fox is gone.

Today I PX'd Fox. He is now no longer Fox. He will no doubt take on a new name with whoever gives him a new home.

However, we still have Smartie B so I will be here still to discuss things but will also be perusing Saab forums for my new 9-5.

Fox went to his new dealership with the full 'forfour.co.uk' decal in place on his rear window, hopefully they will keep this on so the new owner can come here. Also left my 'smart festival' stickers in the rear boot and my 'most modified' entry sticker in the glove box. I felt they should stay with him. Hoping the dealer won't throw em out.

Anywho, I do have Fox's alloys and diffuser for sale if anyone wants them. Threads are in the for sale section.

Thanks guys. I'll never forget that little car.
I'll probably miss his 'round the town' fuel economy though!

I haven't taken any photos of my own yet and it's a crummy day so here's dealership taken piccies.

Haha, not too bad to be honest, not really more expensive than a forfour. There are more than enough places to get spares, garages to look after them and vehicles to plunder from.

Part of the purchase was new cambelt, water pump etc so that's a worry taken care of.

People don't want to buy Lexus because they know the spare parts are expensive when they come only from Lexus (no profit for third-party manufacturers, too few cars on market)

Not sure, from a very tight fitted lot nr Manchester and its a car with a very small market but has been well taken care of. FSH and lots of provenance.

Fireflower, I do get that, luckily this ain't a Lexus. It's a GM Era Saab and a good range of the mechanicals are shared with astras/vectras etc produced by GM in the same era.

I'm looking into fitting some performance brakes soon, very important on a car this size, especially if I decide to get it mapped.
There's a possibility I can fit 314mm discs but I might end up with 308s due to clearance.

how can you mistake the SAAb badge with a Lexus one???  ???

lexus is oval with an L in the middle and the SAAB is round...

there is a strong chance that if the stickers arnt stuck to anything they will be binned, unless they are in the service pack.

shame you had to get rid but needs must.
