Lucky escape
« on: June 10, 2019, 10:09:17 PM »

Never had a tyre rip like this, let alone whilst driving on an A road :-\

Lady Luck picked a good day for the tyre to pop(!), managed to put the spare on in under 5 mins though. That was enough to get totally drenched though  ;D

I hope the wheel isn’t damaged, had to drive on the flat tyre for a short distance till I could pull over safely. Very bumpy!

Glad you are OK. Did you notice soon after being parked? Or did you possibly hit something. Must say though that has a much lower possibility than the idea suggested already.

The tyre 'popped' about 30 mins into my motorway journey.... very odd! I popped into my local garage and luckily the wheel wasn't damaged :)

you sure you didn't hit a pot hole recently? a damaged side wall could result in this.
