Thats good going - in your face Mr.VAG ;)

However, I had trouble keeping up with the SEAT Leon Cupra FR up the slip road the other day - that was uber fast :(

Sometimes, it's not the winning or the keeping up that counts - it's the putting up a good fight, that's enough shock for most other drivers!!  ;)

He did seem genuinely shocked to see me behind him still :)

love the BRAB - unlike my slow ass Pug306 cabrio - does same mpg as BRAB at half the speed with 100 more knocks, rattles and bad noises !!

But the roof down is good :)

you have a 200bhp remap though and front mounted cooler and custom pipe - we are stuck with 177bhp + 1 or 2bhp here and there :(

i was surprised at its speed, so maybe it was mapped

It's funny that you talk about Leon FR's ... because I met one today, and was stuck to his bumper from 30 to .... hum...  ;D
Even I was surprised to be able to keep up with a car that's at least 30bhp more ! (I don't know if it was a 210 or 225, but he was seriously pushing hard !)

I think the weight makes a big difference.  The Brab is quite light compared to many other hot hatches

I can beat that !
Me and my mate went to Wicks, the DIY shop. now its about 1/2 hour drive from north(ish) Leeds to just on the out skirts of Bradistan.
He phoned up at 6.20pm and they shut at 7pm, so he said I'll jump on my bike and you go in your car. He got there 5 minutes before it shut, bought what he wanted and I got there about 1 minute after it shut. On the way back he was amazed to see me keeping up and not being that far behind him in my 1.1 forfour !

I bet it was a hell of a ride but also you have pushed the car to the max ;)
The 1.1 is a nifty little powerful engine for it's size but one must be a fool to even conceive dusting a 1.8 l petrol engine.
And to make things better imho it's the best value in the sense that you can get ride full of fun with the least amount of fuel  :D

I'm not surprised you could if he's on one of those! He'd be giving it the beans too after hitting 50mph!

The 1.1 isn't as gutless as people make out. I've held off the advances of a 1.8 vectra before. He even admitted to having to really push it and was bummed to hear that I let him pass in the end :)
