The functioning bonnet scoop I had made (at great expense to me) did look fab when
it was first fitted, but time has brought out the flaws in it.  The orginal 'buck' for the
GRP mould was made on a flat surface....and the actual bonnet is not flat, so this
induced a twist into the scoop and the bonnet. Over time, the end result of that is
that the blind rivets have started to show through and are lifting the filler and paint !

I'm not inclined to let anyone 'suffer' that problem and ruin a perfectly good
bonnet,  and get myself a bad name for selling what I consider to be a B grade product,
so the extra 3 I have will not be offered to purchase.

However....
I am working on a 'balanced' design that I think will be more appealing and be available
in the not too distant future.  It's still a way off being a prototype...but when it is ready
I'll be sure to post the info for anyone that may be interested.

He might- I think I remember G saying he was not happy with them due to the fitment if the curvature of the bonnet so did not want to sell them to others

Just checked the how to section for it. Does seem like a lot of work but it does look real good. I wonder if rain is ever a problem, especially the torrential type we've had lately

What I was looking at is using a shogun or l200 scoop- poss buying a second hand bonnet- and cutting it and attaching it to the top is the 44 bonnet. I think not could work.

For the easiest of fits...and quite close to the original 'Brabus Concept' bonnet scoop
have a look at this link.  I reckon it will be/is any easy fit. The only difference is that
the rear of the scoop does not 'fade' or 'merge' into the bonnet.  But that's because
they have 'curled it under' to make a mounting face for it to the bonnet.
It's not that bad....really.

Obviously the bonnet would have to be prep'd and sprayed after fitting...
no matter what/whichever scoop or vent you decided to fit.
