Looks wayyyy too much like a Punto to me....
As for the wheels...nice...very similar to the ones on my Roadster Coupé..

Don't think much of the cheesegrater on the front...

The Architect's picture comparison is spot on.
In fact, I'd say it was p'shopped from one.

I don't like it at all.

Wheels look like they were p'shopped from the mini ones... weren't they a little bit like that on the original forfour concept?

There is something not quite right about how the light looks.....

On the Roadie concept that hasthe same lights, the extension bit to tue light unit runs along where the curvature of the wing is (same with the elongated part of the mini light) BUT the forfour one seems to head off at a random angle away from the wing

(it's obviously photoshopped - like looking at avatar and trying to decide if it's real people or not - but I'm just picking out the glaring errors)

It's a Punto/Smart hybrid....with hints of Mini Countryman bits like grey arch
extensions n undersills added.
Either way..it's still ugly
And who designed those mirrors ! half the mount is sitting wasted on the front
wing doing SFA except look stupid....that feature will never make production....I hope.

Here's my 5 minute photoshop 'butchered' canibalisation of a Punto and the new Smart.
It's pretty pathetic I know....it's only to to show its not too far from the orig top picture.

Yup, look at the top of the headlights... there's bodywork where it shouldn't be.

Plus, if you look at the numberplate and the front grilles/vents, the perspective is slightly off. The car would be looking round corners. It's a tricky thing to get right, especially with a white car!

(just picking...)

It's the best idea yet... although it looks more like the  new 451 than the 450/454 versions were...

Best idea yet ?    I don't think so.
Once again Smart/MB have lost the plot.....as far as customers go.
With dam all space for luggage/shopping it's now relegated to a small 4 seat town car.

MB have put their oar in...so it's no longer competition to their overgrown 'A' Class....
If this had been VW then they would've marketed it as 'another choice/chance of a sale'
for customers...another one to be added to the order books of the VAG group.
And that is where they are different to MB.  Smart is something MB wish they didn't
have any association with. (Mention 'Smart' in an MB showroom and watch them wince !)

Ok, so I can see a few 'yuppies' buying it..for the novelty, but that would soon wear off
once they find/realise just how little they can actually get in the back of it.
And it's not even sporty...so it can't go head to head with a basic Mini, it's biggest rival.
I'd just about take it have one if I had to choose between 'it' and the ugly squashed
Fiesta'esque Ka..(god I hate the look of it)...if it didn't cost much more ?
But I'd rather a Fiat 500....or something bigger. But anything else will run rings round
it....like the Corsa, the Fiesta, the Polo, the Fabia, and even the boxy Fox.

If they had only asked previous and current owners of ForFour's for their opinions,
advice and perhaps guidance, then they might have produced a winner......
so...IMHO (for what it's worth) MB should stick to what they're good at...big cars, limo's,
vans/come hotel buses, Sprinters and Maybach's.
