The UK never had the 'basic Brabus spec' as you put it.
In fact, the UK got what the rest of Europe knew as the 'Xclusive' version,
with lots more equipment as standard.

But even so, there were many other additions/options/packs that could be had....
1. Radio6 or Command instead of the Radio5....
2. Electric glass front sunroof instead of panoramic polycarbonate front roof...
3. Monobloc 'A' wheels vice Monobloc IV's....
4. Headlight washers...
5. HID's (coupled with headlight washers and self leveling headlight adjustment)...

Then there were other extra's....
a. rear side door sun screens
b. tailgate sunblind
c. transmission tunnel drink/magazine holder
and there were even more bits that could be had when the car was ordered or after.

It was loaded with so much more goodies than a 'basic' Passion.

I just got reminded. The previous passion got the tailgate sunblind and armrest/drinks holder installed.

Are the HIDs and headlight washer fitted as standard on UK brabus?

I'll have a look over all the btochures n 'bumph' I've got and double check re
the HID's.....JJ may possibly be right (well partly), with Xenon's being available.

Lets let that one item 'float' for the moment, ok.  I'll get back to it when I can.

Welcome to Brabus.  I hope you love it as much as we all do.

HID and headlamp wash were not standard.  Well, put it this way, mine doesn't have them!

Welcome to Brabus ownership - tis much fun to be had.

Mine has headlamp washers.  I do hope it doesn't have HID bulbs - they're so expensive.  If it does, they're not very good :|

There was NOT an option for HIDs

There WAS an option for headlamp washers (nothig to do with HIDs though)

Mine has neither HID's or lamp washers or cruise and also lacks illumination on the fan and temp control dials. I think I have some fettling to do.

Hmmm...lots to do then, eh ?
I've had a look thru the brochures etc, and Xenon's were an option.

If you do decide to fit HID's (which aren't that expensive now) you can
fit them and take your chance with the MoT station/s...OR....work out
some method of fitting washer jets for the headlights and fit a Hella
self leveling kit (least i think it was Hella I was told), but it's not cheap
at £300+ !  And even then, it won't be factory fit as defined by the new
regs, so it could fail on that score even ! !

NB:-A final word of advice for anyone who is contemplating HID's...
do not go higher than the 4300k output ones. They give the whitest
light and do not draw unwanted attention like the higher output ones
that have the giveaway 'blue tinge' to them.

As for the 'missing' back lights to the heater controls...it's perhaps obvious
that the bulbs may have blown... to fix that have a look here...

Cruise control......from all the enquiries that I made some time ago
it is NOT possible to retrofit !  HOWEVER.....MisterDotCom does one,
a conversion that utilises the OBD2 port. Checkout the website with
the same name for info and price.

There's only one way for hids to be legal, they have to be in HID designed headlamps. No need for self leveling or washers really, as MOT says that IF they are fitted they must work. So not really a necessity. BUT if the headlight was not designed for a HID bulb, than no amount of self leveling and washing will make them legal.
