Questions on my V5
« on: January 10, 2012, 06:19:56 PM »

I've recently had a look at the V5 of Brabby, and noticed a few things :

-It says it's a 3 DOOR HATCHBACK ...  ::)
-Also, it says I've only got 4 seats .... and my car has 5 seat belts ...  :-X

What do you think ? Should I be worried about it ?

;) For Four - for four person.

I have two FF from Germany.
Passion from 2004  and Brab from 2005 have 5  sets and belts but in papers  is only for 4 person.

Info from Price List GB 2005
Rear seat bench with the following features: 2-seater with 2 headrests,
reclining backrests, backrests of rear bench can be folded separately
(60:40), horizontally sliding rear bench - standard equipment.
Coolstyle without separately (60:40), horizontally sliding rear bench.

Rear bench, 3 seats, including third headrest and
third integrated 3-point belt was option for 80 P.
But  ::) Coolstyle was a standard equipment.  :-\

The last year production (2006) was made for 5 person (Pulse, Passion and Brab).

Info from Price List for Germany 2007  ???.

you can ammend your V5. we did it twice, once with my fortwo and once with my mums old focus.
my fortwo's chassis number was wrong, where there should have been a 4 there was 'Y' and my mums focus was a HATCHBACK but on the V5 it said saloon. fill in the appropriate part of the V5 or phone the DVLA and tell them whats wrong and they will say what to do and what to fill on your V5

Thanks for the various infos ...

My main concern is what happens in case of an accident or whatever problem and that we are 5 passengers in the car ....

Does it take some fighting if I want to amend some thing on the v5 then ?

ring the DVLA and they will help you and tell you what to fill on your V5, send it off and you get your new amended V5 a few days later

HAH! I drove (well not me, my cousins girlfriend drove, i was in the trunk) with 8 people in it, AND the TVA was acting up, so the car was in safe mode.  It can move, trust me, the engine can easily move the car with 5 people in it, the suspension on the other hand will not like it. I only drove for  less than 2 miles, when having to take 7 friends of mine home and was too lazy to make 2 trips.

But on the other hand, my car also has 4 seats in the brief (like your V5) although i have 3 back seats (3 headrests and 3 seatbelts).

It's like in that joke, where the customs officer stops an Audi Quattro trying to cross the border with 5 guys in it. The custom officer says, I'm sorry, but there's five of you and the car clearly states Quattro, so one of you will have to walk across..the driver says it's madness, and demands to speak to a superior officer, but the customs guy replies I'm sorry, but my boss is busy with two guys trying to cross over in a Fiat UNO ::)
