As Brabbie drinks only V-Power I was thinking of getting a Shell loyalty card.

Anyone got one, and are they worth giving Shell your name and address for?

I did browse through their leaflet, I reckoned you would have to do serious mileage to really benefit, I think I worked out that on my yearly average, I would qualify for 12 litres of free fuel a year on about 9,000 miles a year.

definitely worth it. I opted for money off vouchers for fuel.
I only have a 1.1 forfour but I've always filled it with V-Power... in fact Ihad the Shell drivers card and they gave me a few upgrade to the Shell V-Power club cos I kept filling with the premium stuff

Yup - its free!

I get a £5 voucher off fuel every few months (think it works on a points basis) and I only do about 250miles a month.

Fox has one but to be honest we mainly use Sainsbury's and BP because of the Nectar points.

We do have a Morrison's card as I occasionally stop for a tenner's worth of petrol when I have to drive back from Central London as it's on the way home...

I wouldn't bother with Shell as the forecourts are disappearing fast, I have no idea where a local shell forecourt is.

Total do Total Rewards - you can save money on a service with Halfords AutoCentres plus hotel and many other offers.

Sainsburys, BP, Tesco and Morrisons all do rewards too. I use Tesco mostly as its the easiest to get to.

There is an app to find your local shell garage.

In Bristol we have 6 centrally and another 7 on the outskirts. My
2nd nearest just got refitted and my nearest is across the road from tesco über 24hr store and the fuel is cheaper than tesco

V-power is one of the best high octane out there - IMHO!

There are loads of Shell garages around here - one is about 200 yards away, and there's another about a mile and half away (near the unfortunate Bunsfield site...)  Then there are Shell's along every route to work, including right near where I work.

So no shortage of them!

I've used V-Power (and Optimax before it) in every car I've had, and only the Brabus is one that actually benefits directly from it.  I always found the extra miles on the tank paid for the 7p a litre it cost, and the cars always seemed to run better.  Placebo effect - maybe, but does it matter if something is real or not if you feel it?

I am sure the V power has more than a placebo effect, I mean Shell is a very rich organisation and it is an optimised fuel, even in the 1.3, throttle response is much sharper, revs rise more smoothly and the general feel of the drive is better as you say.

V power is great for a treat in the 1.3 and at 8p a litre dearer in the garages near me, its well worth it.

I find Shell fuelsave to be an extremely good economy fuel too.

I have two shell garages within a mile of me, both quite large affairs.

In terms of loyalty though, just couldnt be bothered with it.
