These cars I drove today had awful gear changes.

All of them the stick was a little stiff, and wouldn't self centre when released.

The last one (which was otherwise the best car, apart from evidence of hastily mopped up mayo in the oil cap) had to be forced about, and wouldn't go into third.  Awful it was

My current forfour doesnt auto center but it had been sat for months so i think just needs greasing Up

Are you talking about the red and black one? We might go have a look I Nothibg more local comes up.

There's a 1.1 in Aylesbury and a 1.3 in wembley to see. And fox has hinted at his too. So depends what happens there too. There seem to be a few coming up now - the garage we went to in stansted today had 5 in and had sold 11 recently so they said.

Oh THAT one.

We'd love to have it but for two things - after G's comments I'm not so sure it's had the love it deserves of late from an owner who doesn't understand it. And it's modded so no good for a new drivers insurance.

Many manuals will have the 'non-centering' thing, mine does but with a little lubing it's actually incredibly smooth - silkier to slide around than V's that doesn't have that problem. It's so easy to change gear that you don't even notice.
