after seeing a video on you tube of some Australian lads doing there wheels i might give it a shot. I'm tempted to just key the surface, use 'filler primer' and then spray them

so as many of you guys know my forfour has been picked for auto express and i went to derby on wednesday to the photoshoot with my sister who wants to go in to media and is a keen photographer.
the bloke who did the shoot was very interested in my forfour as he liked the colour and that the SMART brand was diffrent to any other car on the road.
it took me close to 5 hours to clean the outside the day before, the inside was some what clean (other than the cup holder in front of the gear lever) as i had aqua vac'ed it that weekend gone, had to wash it twice as my sister wanted dropping off it town to meet a mate of her's, clayed it, used auto glym paint renovator on the trid,  the new formula auto glym super resin polish on the trid and pannels and finished off with auto glym hi def wax and it looked like a used car which has just been bought from an independant dealer (who had'nt been bothered to get the wheels refubished)
well after 2 1/2 hours taking photos and conversating, he took my address and said that he would forward the pictures to me. im glad to say they turned up today and i had a look and i have to say thay guy made my car look... priceless ;D. it looks like its JUST come of the transporter and was waiting for me in the smart dealer showoom freshly valeted, it looks stunning. the only thing that let it down was the filler flap which i bloddy forgot to do >:(

well i washed the entire car inc the filler flap BUT i didn't clean the inside, the filler neck bowl and the inside of the filler flap was dirty, which really lets one of the pictures down. I'm debating weather or not to post them up now or wait until you see them in the magazine, although i am leaning towards posting them up before they go to print

Yeah, that's a ForTwo issue...either the pipe comes off the fitting, or...
as I have seen a lot of, the fitting breaks. It's easily fixed though.
the hardest part is removing the rear roof spoiler on the ForTwo to
get to it.

FDC, well everything that looks perfect is imperfect, i mean look at the peacock, it looks stunning buy it had 'ugly' feet, in my forfour's case everything looks perfect but the filler bowl is still showing dirt.
when i first saw the pictures they looked almost CGI, gran turismo like.

Sukh, as for detailing, i noticed there were a couple spots where the wax was still on or hadnt come off properly, possibly because the wax was left on for an extra 5 min than it said on the pot

JJ, its worth it if its free, i personally wouldnt pay 300-500 quid
