I'm just curious as to the comments about it falling apart :P

I'd also love to see a pic of it at the Nurburgring!

The pics were from my 2006 trip to the Nurburgring  ;) I didn't drive it that fast tbh, but still got something like 9.5mpg!

My car was one of the very first BRABUS forfour's on the road, it was originally destined to be smart of Swindon's demo but I gazumped them! Was a good spec too, winter pack (?), radio 6 and five seat rear bench. Wellsmart as was fitted Reddot Racing front discs/pads, and I fitted xenons with a little help from Badger/Dave (RIP)

During the time I had it, the only things that went wrong (from memory, it was 7yrs ago!) were the gearbox (crunching from first gear within the few weeks, replaced) and noisy suspension (front strut mounts and steering rack replaced). When I had it, it always had it's 6000 mile oil changes too.

I sold it and got a SEAT Ibiza tdi as I was doing too many miles in it and the warranty was on it's way out. Oh and I lost IRO £10k on that car, bought at just under list, got £7500 in PX (again IIRC)

I can't find any pics of it right now, but when i'm home i'll see what's on my external hard drive.

Thanks Ant, it's quite exciting to get a little bit of history on my car. As I said in my PM, I've had it 9 months (driven daily for 5) and had no trouble whatsoever. Front wheels were well out when I got it, but nothing a trip to the pros couldn't fix.

I fully inten to service it properly (S2 smarts) and I've it the interim oil changes, and so I can only hope no more problems crop up. It's certainly on standard discs now, they're something I'll upgrade when the discs are finished.

As for your oil chanes... I have all your receipts. Found them in the box in the footwell with the manuals. I just never put together your name and address in Bristol as being you, despite G telling me about you and your brothers!! (G also considered buying it off me when I was trying to sell it!)

You know I never even buckled a wheel on it, that's how carefully I drove it (or avoided the potholes) !!

HAHA - I buckled the front near side wheel 4 times in 2 months... but I put that down to it being weakened from the first hit (it was dented when I got it).

No problems now with non-Brab wheels - just struggling to sell these monos.
