Impromptu mini meet
« on: March 26, 2013, 10:39:24 PM »

I popped in to S2Smarts today to have my Forge actuator fitted and set up and map tweaked again and who should turn up......??

CrazyG (he's s2smarts latest YT lacky)
Funky (was just "passing")
Musmart (with his new big turbo set up)
Strike (in the only clean car of the day)
A wise man* (bearing gifts for the s2smarts guys for helping fix an LPG fault on his forfour)

it wasn't planned but we all just ended up being in the same place at the same time avoiding out better halves!!

was a good laugh really and tony and rob and andy were very welcoming as always, even though we were getting in their way and nicking their tools left/right/centre draw of the tool chest.

only really 2 pics - sorry :(

JJ

Yeah good to see you all - and thanks to the lads at S2 and Tune4Performance for letting us hang around.

The 6 'dots' as you call them are in fact holes drilled thru the lower valance
to allow more air into the space where the original intercooler used to be
mounted.  (CDI's and Brabus models have the intercooler behind the lower
left/nearside air vent.... where the side/foglight sits).
Block any of that area off at your peril if you own a CDI or Brab, as you will then
restrict the necessary cold air you need to cool down the hot intake 'charge' in
the intercooler !

Musmart changed intercooler and the location of it after 'adding' those holes,
and there was no point covering them or filling them back up anyway.

Thanks G am glad I asked now, I was looking at the picture on my phone that's why I said dot's. I went the garage yesterday for some drl's and he was going to put them under the fog lights but he didn't have the size to fit in, it pays to ask  ;)

Also musmart has relocated his air filter down there. So he gets a direct air flow straight to it!!!!!
