It should be possible to fit an Evo engine and mechanicals into a forfour, there is a lot of room to play with.

Can't remember the exact origins on the Brab engine but I think it is an old FTO or GTO lump, old being the opertive word unfortunately. So does hold in itself a lot of potential with tweaking.

I would love to enter a forfour into Group N for rallying, it is a simple enough car to work on and very light so would be fairly quick with a standard 1.3 or 1.5 lump.

Could be intresting to find out wich engine   what do you refear when you say old FTO or GTO engine ?

From me brief delving (I was out of work for nearly a year), the Brab engine is old Mitsubishi stock, designed to take a turbo. The standard SOHC block harks back to the early to mid 1990's! The DOHC turbo'd unit in the Brab and CZT is circa 1995 onwards.

So yeah fairly ancient in terms engine development.

Patrick has tried maps for CZT's...remember...and none of them, even with tweaking
gave him any more power than he had already...in fact they were worse if I remember.

And we all know there are rolling roads and there are properly set up rolling roads....
So take all the claims with a pinch of salt.....
But then again...maybe I'm wrong....

ah - but unlike the BRABUS mappers, the colt mappers offer evidence....

this was on stock car!!

so the remap takes it up just above the BRAB BHP and the rest was done through exhaust mods, Pill removal, induction kit and intercooler work!!
