Car Wrapping
« on: August 31, 2013, 05:32:21 PM »

Was thinking of changing the colour of my car from red to black, my car has red panels with the silver trident just having the red panels changed.

Found a company in Chesterfield called Its A Wrap that says they can do this in gloss black for about £300

There Facebook page:

What do you guys think about car wrapping?

why not just buy a set of black panels??

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SMART-FORFOUR-2005-1-5-CDI-BLACK-1-WHEEL-NUT-BREAKING-PARTS-SPARES-/271254877560?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3f280cf578

or even better - swap!

if i was gonna wrap my panels, id go for something that was off the wall(ish)

wrapping is a good option but lifespan is short - say 3-5years.

If you take all the panels off yourself, you may find someone will spray them for a few hundred squid.

that's the downside of wrapping....it doesn't last as long as a spray job......AND....
the slightest nick or scrape shows up like a sore thumb.
Someone may spray your panels (off the car) for a few hundred pounds....but the quality would
be questionable i would have thought for that sort of price.....unless you have a friend that does
spraying...or a friend of a friend . But, if you want quality work then it will cost more than that...
...unless you 'prep' the panels yourself (viz flat them back to the base coat near enough...and
fill any imperfections). That way you will quite possibly save some of the cost.
