Cosminnedelcu  has asked me to post a request (in my best English) for assistance....

Do any of you have a ForFour with these Mitsubishi Colt  AirCon_Temp control knob/dials ?



Cosmin would like to get a set of these, but to order/obtain them he needs a chassis number.
He can't use his as he has the 'older' more usual controls that most ForFour's have.

If anyone can oblige, he would be most grateful if you would PM him.

Surely just find a Colt being scrapped, there are some on Ebay. These parts might be available from Mitsubishi.

Hows that for confusing ?

This is a very confusing thing, it appears these dial knobs started being fitted to post 2006 models, Coolstyle and Purestyle, and the existing line up... but the old ones were also still about - there is no direct consistency of what spec or year (plate or manufacture) they were fitted.

The two sets of dial knobs are available in the UK.

Tks a lot to all of you the question it came from a friend
The problem is also with the Mercedes dealers as when you order them, they are not sure .
I obtain the VIN from a dealer from Autohaus from Germany and also in the program it gives the opportunity to choose
2 different things.
I will put the codes .
This is just one issue that let's say that I can manage, the other issue is the mechanism behind.... is it the same or has it
something else that permit the buttons to move better

my old 2007 coolstyle had them .. I dont have the chassi number but can give you the reg number if thats any help ?

New info
The exterior circles are cheap around 30 euro bur the system with the middle button cost around 120 EUR so when my friend will order just for test the exterior circle to see if is coming with the middle button or not the only method to order on the MERC dealers are only two.

We watch very careful to see the interior of the system and we are sure that is a difference but until we order we cannot confirm.

There is only 1 part number for the main body of the controls....the bit that sits inside/behind the facia panel.
I haven't yet managed to get the part numbers for the dials/buttons....
Maybe now when you get those you can give me (by PM) the numbers from the packets and I'll add them
to the parts list, ok ?

The two sets of dial knobs are available in the UK, maybe contacting Well Smart as they are a friendly bunch.

Ahhhhh...now these dials (not the switches/knobs) are the same one's that are fitted to the European (but non UK spec) 'semi automatic aircon' and the 'fully automatic aircon' (which was never made available to the UK.)
On the 'fully 'automatic aircon', the switch/knob could not turn it on and/or off as it was on all the time hence why it was
called fully automatic. It's true...honest.  For those "doubting Thomas'" amongst you, have a check on ForFours for sale
in Germany. they are advertised with either 'automatic aircon', or just 'aircon' (like our UK one's).
