Only had it a couple of months. Mostly town driving at the moment. 1.5 CDi Diesel auto pulse. Just had new rims and mid-range tyres put on. I've not pushed hardcore motorway miles as of yet, only on the 408miles run..... Interesting to see your max and mimimum, with a bit of context! Could even be a sticky, so people can read about how much these little engines can return. I'm happy with the numbers for city driving.

Average MPG based on miles covered / litres of fuel used to fill the tank is a more telling statistic as some people will run their tank lower than other before filling.

I've had over 400miles out of a tank in the Brab somehow. Average about 340-360
Usually about 38-40 litre fill

The variables are many but I get 470miles easily on a tank in my 1.5cdi Manual. When many factors align positively, 530miles has been achieved. My fill-up is usually around 44litres.

Whaaaaat!!!! Sounds like I'm not nearly getting enough mileage. Today was another 350. Lots of people here talking about over the 400 mark.

The range and mpg figures depend on the external temperature (for warming engine) and the length of trip ( the longer the trip the less the effect of the warming phase). The type of driving -town or motorway cruising also plays a role. This is before you take the tyres and most importantly drivers skills into consideration. I get 340-360 miles on a 40 litre fill in my Brab. The trip is not a kind one. The Brab does deliver better milage than my previous Alfa which needed a 55 litre fill for the same trip and milage.

my standard is 210miles which is all town driving.

my best is 409miles when i drove to blackburn and back to look at a dog of a forfour for my dad and had a slightly more spirited drive back to a nearby train station to try and get my dad home sans car!!

I have managed over 600miles in my CDi on two trips to the middle of
France, to the French Smart Club meet at Chateaumeilant, but the average
speed was never over 65mph as I was 'riding shotgun' behind the S2smarts
race truck n trailer combo.

Usually the average is about 350 around town n a bit of motorway driving,
but all done in a spirited fashion if you get my drift

My 1.3 does about 360 doing 30mile round trip , mixed town and national limits

Mixed driving = 220miles to a tank
Long eco driving = 350miles to a tank

About ~320 combined on 17 inch Grandlines, a bit more on the steel wheels. Will be a bit more still when the car is cleaned out and given a B service.

my 1.1 would easily get 420 miles round town and on a run, the best i saw on pure motorway driving was 590 miles, but that was with me sat at 60 mph all the way

with my SB3 i used to get about 250-280 per tank but that was when my mum was driving it. she would crap herself when the gauge started flashing 5.0l.
now that i have been driving it since being out of work i have nursed it to anything between 310-350 miles. thats all town driving. get it on a long run i have reached 426 miles.

we'll see when i start my new job, what i can achieve.

I still do average over 54 mpg, but never go over 100km or 62mph.

4.73L/100km last fill up from 5L reserve so approx 548 miles..

Worst consumption was with busted egr.. 6.2L but did 180 on Autobahn when I didn't have safe mode on..


I do 80km daily on Autobahn.. 5 days a week. The rest is city driving.

Get an app like Fuelio. I keep my costs and stats there.. amazing thing..

1.3 Pulse (petrol) I get between 350 to 380  miles to the tank of city driving.
