I don't suppose anyone's taken a heated seat apart and repaired it?

Pressing the driver's heated seat button illuminates the two red lights but after about 5 seconds the go off again and no heating.

The passenger side seat heats up fine and you can switch it too either of the two stage hearings.

check cable underneath the seat (there is also airbag cable, do not disconnect that with battery attached)

Isn't there a relay as well? Prob this that's failed

(May have imagined that or it been on a roadster)

Thanks, will check the cables in daylight. If it's a relay would there be one each for driver's and passenger seats, or both on one?

there is one relay only, so if your co-passenger heating works then you can rule relay out.

Cables look connected, there's a larger plug type connector on the left hand side under the seat. I think it was green and red, is this the airbag plug?

I think there are three. One for seat belt , one for air bag - red I think, and one for the heated function.

Thanks guys, all cables appear to be connected ok so had a look at the fuse box. Fuses are ok too but oddly where the slot for a relay for heated seats is on the board is a U shape blanking plug, yet both seats had worked and nothing has changed!

I'm guessing I'll need to dig out my multimeter and check the connections underneath the seat.

I have exactly the same issue with a u shaped 'bridge' piece in relay position R (and not a relay). This doesnt seem right with all that current going through the heating elements. I'll be interested if you find a solution.
