In mainland Europe, the Brabus was available in more or less
a 'design it yourself' mode when ordered.....by that I mean that
you could spec it up with cloth (Passion) interior instead of leather,
any colour body panels, any wheels, etc etc. And yes, you would
even find Passion models with Brabus badges on them if they had
been built at factory (or even dealer supplied) with bits of Brabus
'kit' added ! ! Confusing....you betcha !
The decision by MB/Smart not to offer any such choice to
the UK market was to some degree a good thing. It made ours
Xclusive, and that is what all our models are, even if it is not
badged as such. In fact very very few were thus badged.
It may be that those that are/were, were the few that were
'fully' spec'd up versions...possibly having the addition of
some of the few remaining options fitted.
Those options; to the best of my limited knowledge; would
have been some, or any, or even all of the following:-
Deeper bolstered more supportive leather seats (รก la Colt CZT).
Monoblock 'A' wheels (vice Monoblock IV's)
Radio 6, or Comand, or Navigator (vice Radio5).
Auto lights+wipers.
