Sorry to hear of your injury, and I can commiserate with you
in there not being a Brab AMT.
It's also a shame that there aren't any diesel ForFours in Oz.....
otherwise I can personally vouch for the massive difference a
remap makes to the way they perform.
Ok, so maybe not up to Brabus level of performance, but the
mid-range....the grunt is awesome....and even better is the
extra mpg that can be achieved if used sensibly.

Having said all that, even a standard 1.3 petrol AMT doesn't
hang about if you give it some serious wellie. My duaghters
goes like a lil' rocket when either she or I give it some stick !

Fritz being a 1.5 is nice, but I would just like a bit more 😋 I have toyed with the idea of doing the SB3 kit 🤔

As graham will testify, the auto box doesn't handle lots of power too well.

Go the other way and lighten and flow the head and exhaust etc

Oz is good for modding

As 'G'raham will testify, the auto box doesn't handle lots of power too well....

Strictly speaking...the box is ok.
The issue here is the actuator and what it does or is required to do.
In standard 'trim' it copes/works admirably, and it gives a smooth
'fluid auto' type change (except going down from 2nd to 1st).
If one were able to 'beef up' the motor (and the gears it uses), in an
attempt to speed it up, or to handle a more powerful clutch, then I
feel that the gearchange would lose the smoothness it currently
has and end up being jerky.

But hey...I'm not an engineer.....this is just my opinion, and my own
experience's I'm quoting from, ok.

As a professional I would agree with what Graham has said.  He gets it right most of the time
