Front grill and splitter
« on: May 19, 2016, 09:48:29 AM »

My Forfour has a few chips on the front from the previous owner doing motorway miles. I thought I give chips away a call to see what could be done. I was told I be looking at £240! I thought forget that it must be more practical to source parts from breakers or eBay. Are these parts easy to get hold off?

Front replica 1 piece replacement grill is easy peasy to get hold of..
though only in unpainted black or 'chrome' [not silver]...
(it can be masked...though a bit fiddly... and sprayed...as I did with mine)
but at about £20 it's a lot lighter and cheaper than the heavier
3 piece original at over £140 !

Front splitter...presume you mean lower spoiler....
rarer than rocking horse pooh......no one makes a replica aftermarket
version....and they rarely come up even on ebay s/hand.

My advice......prep the panels/parts yourself....that will cut
the cost down. But also 'punt' around for prices....un-prep'd/prep'd.
