Squeaking wipers

Can anyone give me some advice please, my drivers side wiper is squeaking and I have no idea what's wrong, only just started recently. Thought the wipers needed changing but the problem is still there. The only way I can describe the sound is like pulling open a large spring, the sound you'd get from that. Or a really squeaky spring mattress. But the sound is really loud, even with the music cranked up! Checked the spring on the arm and it seems okay.

Any help greatly appreciated, cheers!  :)

i'd get a bit of grease on all the mechanicals under the scuttle panel first

(skip removing the wiper arms steps 2, 3 and 4)

then i'd give the screen a wipe with vinegar and newspaper

vaseline along the windscreen rubber is not recommended!

Hmm, nor as one of my neighbours did is spraying the windscreen with WD40. Its supposed to stop squeaking they said! Der!  ;)
