Hey everyone,
I found out yesterday that the friend who bought his ForFour back in January has had an accident and the car is currently disabled. I've had a brief look over it and I think it could come back from this but I'd appreciate any second opinions on this. Closing speed was ~15mph (airbags have not gone off) apparently. The car was the reversed back into the current position it is in.
As far as I can make out, the jobs that need doing are:
- Control arm/wishbone is twisted
- Steering linkage is bent
- Wheel is knackered (I am donating a set of Strokelines)
- Indicator cover is broken
- Driver side front wing is shattered
- Wheel arch lining is shattered
My biggest worry is the front wheel bearing being shot which is no small job to replace and I can't be sure as to wherever the suspension strut itself was damaged. Things like the wing, the arch liner and the indicator we can get a replacement of from a breakers so that'll lessen the pain a bit.
It is going to be recovered down to a garage I personally recommended but in the meantime, any opinions on this?
