Driving to UK in August, remap and meet up maybe.
« on: July 01, 2017, 12:13:37 PM »

Hey Guys, I'm driving my LHD Brabus to the UK in August for 2-3 weeks. 5,000km trip.

I was wondering if any Smart meets will take place?

Also I'm looking at getting the Brabus remapped, how much does this cost? Where to do it? What kind of BHP are we taking about after the remap?

Thanks in advance guys.

watford
tune4performance
£250 (according to their current price list)
with a boost controller (ask them to supply) then 210bhp is a good target

best to give Tony a call and book yourself in as i honestly haven't seen anywhere else that I would put my money

I've sent them a message, I will use them, I'll try and book it in as soon as i arrive, so i can driving it in the UK for a couple of weeks before returning to Poland. I've got permission to send some money from the wife.
New BBS Gold alloys come on Monday, Going to change all badges for Gold Brabus ones, Gold wall Toyo tyres, full service, change of pipes inside and few other bits.

Change of pipes 'inside'....
If by that you mean the pipes from airfilter box to turbo
and then turbo to I/C and then up and round to the inlet,
then save your money...as apart from the extravagent
cost of them and that they 'look good' you'll not gain
much if anything from changing from the original ones.

Instead, why not use any money you may have planned
splashing out on those and put it towards the 3 port controller
that Tony can provide (at a hell of a lot less than you would
normally have to part with), and also get yourself a Pipercross
filter for the airbox.

Thanks CrazyG I'll do just that. :)

JJ I'll take some photos when I have them on the car Tuesday.
As I don't have a website with them on.

Can agree with what is said above- As for meetups why not at https://london.acecafe.com/
. There are regular meets there and itis a good location if you are in London. It is a very easy drive to the tuning garage recommended.

I will be going to Ace Cafe.

I have one problem with my alloys. The centre cap won't fit. As the middle is sticking out a bit to much.

The back ones fit, but I've ordered Gold Brabus ones. I'll have to wait and see if they are ok. :(

a 5mm generic spacer??

if the hub nut sticks out that much, are you confident that the 4 studs aren't too long and thus the nut bottoms out on the stud??

The thickness at the face where the thread is would have to be ultra
thin for the nuts to bottom out on their threads...so I don't think that
is an issue JJ.

What offset are the wheels...as they appear to me to be 44 or 46,
as the backs are well inside the arches, and the fronts not much better.
If that is the case then I; like JJ; would suggest a 5mm universal
spacer...or 10 to 15mm hub-centric spacers all round.

Failing that, look for 'domed' centre caps and use imitation 'B' for
Brabus stick on centre symbols.
