Sadly my Brabus must go
« on: July 31, 2017, 08:42:13 AM »

Sadly it's now time to part with my much loved 2006 Brabus,  106,000 Miles, Totally unmarked Silver, MoT Feb 2018. Non-Age related plate, Wheels refurbed 2 months ago, curbing to NSF (Following Puncture) Fitted with Larger Rear Wheels all round, front tyres have done under 500 Miles, rear tyres 90%. Also comes with 2 original front wheels - slight curbing marks (Could be sold seperately)

In the past 2 years it has had the Cam Belt  changed, new rear calipers, new bushes all round, new clutch, new Gearbox Linkages and has been regularly serviced.

It must go - I must be the oldest Brabus owner on here at 78, I've had my fun and now I will have to return to my Merc.

What do you think it's worth?

Note: Oil stains on road in front of car are NOT from the Brabus

My advice....
With the numbers of these dwindling, and your's being in such
good condition, history etc...I'd not expect; né accept; less than £3000.

It really depends how desperate you are for the money or the space.

And if anyone says to you that you are asking too much, then that
the value of cars that are; or are becoming rare; rises not falls...
witness the price of old Ford Escorts such as the FWD Escort RS Turbo
Mk1, and Mk11, and the BMW 2002Tii etc etc.
Even cite that fact that the rush by collectors to get hold of good Brabus
ForFours has already started in Europe where their value has risen above
that of those in the UK (AT THE MOMENT).  Which is kind of strange as
the RHD models for the UK were built to the same spec as the European
'Xclusive' model !  So the UK one's are better.

I fully agree with CrazyG, Your car in LHD would fetch close to 8500euros.

I would advertise at 3,500GBP, ignore the people that give you low ball offers and wait.
As i've said many times, the Brabus is limited for the ones without problems, we should control the market. Keep the prices higher.
If we all do it, they will start to raise in value more and more.

I've just bought an '06 (black) at £2,250 (private sale) and recognised that was an absolute steal!

It has full service history inc cam belt change, new clutch, gearbox & driveshaft, new discs and pads and 12 months MOT.

Needs wheel refurb with full set of matching tyres (happening this week) then is simply down to giving it love and attention (oh and the seller also had both rear carbonate windows replaced with nice clear unfaded ones).

His son bought it 8 months ago from Honda dealer at... £4,300!!!! and only then realised he couldn't get it insured!.

Drove it home from "up  north" on Sunday and it never missed a beat. As I said the "Intro" section this is my second Brabus and I absolutely love this one as much as my first.

I've seen others advertised from 3,000 to 3,500 - as I said mine was an absolute steal! This one is a keeper, regardless of potential increase in value!
