Hmm, seems ok and a reasonable price. However, all Brabs have a panoramic roof. It also doesn’t have ‘Every extra’... such as Navigator system, auto lights/wipers, electric sunroof or 3seater rear bench. Just saying.  :D

Looks like the front half of the roof has crazed. That is very common. For a 13 year old car they have remarkably few problems. When you drive it listen for worn bush at the rear and adjust  accordingly. Reading the pages here will give you a great background and tips to look for.

Items for bargaining... top of back bumper looks to be a bit scratched, drivers seat a little tired, probably original exhaust manifold... does it blow? Check from cold engine as they quieten when hot. I know, I’m picky!  :-*

Does it have the 'optional' sports seats...
like the Colt CZT ones, with deeper and
more supportive bolsters...standard ones
lwt you slide about when 'pushing on'.

Nah it doesn’t and I’ve still never seen them listed anywhere

In fact I think I’ve only seen 1 or 2 cars with them fitted

Doesn’t help the buyer negotiate anything if they don’t really exist.

My main issue would be the front spoiler as it totally changes the look of the car (without it looks like any other ForFour) and will cost in excess of £500 to replace.

The fully spec’d ForFour in the for sale section would be the ForFour id go look at tbh

Sorry, I might have worded that wrong, mine isn't for sale at the minute, I was just offering to show you round it save you travelling down south where all the ones currently for sale seem to be give you something to compare with any you go look at

Crazed image is number 6. It happens in the front part of the roof. The perspex goes milky owing to the appearance of tiny cracks. It is an appearance issue. There is a tiny possibility of one of the tiny cracks getting bigger and leaking.

I believe that the crazing is degradation, due to UV light, of the tinted coating on the outside of the polycarbonate (not Perspex) panel. As far as I know there have been no reports of the panel itself cracking. It just doesn’t look very good. Wrapping is probably the best option IMO.  ;)

If anyone has a well-kept (i.e. garaged) perspex roof without the crazing, I'd say a regular coating of UV protection would be a good plan, something like this:
https://hbc-system.com/en-gb/products/headlight-restoration-systems/uv-protective-coating

For those which are already badly crazed, would something like Meguiar's PlastX get rid of it (by removing the top layer)? Would that take off the tint as well? Has anyone tried?

Its hard enough to restore the finish on headlamps( I had to work long and  hard on my Clio II to do so) but on a much less accessible and relatively large surface area of a  ForFour roof it will be quite a project I fear. If that aerosol of clearcoat is for two headlamps, and only lasts a year according to the blurb , will there be enough for the roof panel, and how long will it last on as horizontal suface?
I was at a classic car show recently, and asked both the polish outlets and the two valeting firms present about rectifying and maintaining the roof, and none had a convincing solution.
