How Smart
« on: July 08, 2018, 12:41:22 PM »

 Hello again. Just reflecting that I have now had my Smart Pulse on the road for three whole months and nothing has gone wrong. I also discovered after three months, the alarm which I did not think I had went off unexpectedly! The OH says you got an alarm going? No I said it doesn’t have one and left it at that. Shortly afterwards it went off again and I went out to look and it was mine! I had left the windows partially open because of the heat. Must finish reading the handbook fully. I have also been searching ( for three months ) for the device to activate the passenger airbag and purely by chance found it when I opened the passenger door, Oh joy! No longer does the indicator by the gearchange glare at me. I was intending to put some brighter headlamp bulbs in but it is due for its MOT soon and under the new regs it will fail because of that. 8)

Look up headlamp polishing. Some have carried it out with toothpaste. The plastic lenses have generally faded with time dimming the output.

I used Meguiars PlastRX and I can attest it is very effective. My headlamps are super clean.

May I also suggest that you look through the relevant Technical Guides
that  are the Childboard of each section for the sort of information that
you have been looking for.....we have it all on here.
Or....failing that use the search facility...the correct useage of that is
described here  http://www.forfour.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=3462.0

And finally...I watched as Rob of S2 'attacked' a set of really obscured
headlight lens covers...they were an MoT failure as they were almost
opaque (!), but he had them gleaming and clear like new after only
about 5->10 minutes per side.
I won't say how, but I can tell you that I'm booking 2 of my 454's in to
have them done asap.
If you fancy having the headlight covers 'rejuvenated' on your car then
give Rob a call for pricing...he's doing a special offer on that IF you
have your car serviced at the same time, otherwise ring for a quote.
