ForFour preservation - lowest mileage?
« on: September 07, 2018, 02:33:24 PM »

Weeellllll, I know there is a thread for the highest mileage ForFours, on which I really can't say much since mine is relatively low, sat in a garage for years before I got her and does about 50-100km a month (nothing, I know).

So, I started this thread for the LOWEST mileage ForFours.

Mine has a touch under 96k km, which converts to just under 60k Miles in total.
Registered in late 2004 which averages out at roughly 4300 (s)miles a year over its' whole life.

Anyone got a lower mileage ForFour?

wow... like a new car!

Could any potential buyer expect issues for a car which has run so little for so long?

Mine had all sorts of gremlins after 2-3 years left in a garage to fallow...

there will be issues with the wheel bearings as the grease may have settled at the bottom and congealed. there may also be corrosion within the bearings where there has been no grease contact.

I've had mine since sept 2004  ( one owner , 14 years this month ) it's  done 35,256 Miles  ( an average of 2518 per year ) before the forfour the longest I'd kept a car was around two years ( at most ) , I still love the styling  and still enjoy owning it  ( do not like the new one  )  and can't see any reason not to just hang on to it .....  i think the saying is  ' it's a keeper  '    :) ;)
