Detailing
« on: October 06, 2018, 11:01:33 PM »

My wife is loving her 1.5 454 so much I decided it would be good to give it some proper detailing.
In past I've usually gone out and got Autoglym or Maguires but I came across
DetailedOnline.co.uk and I'm quite impressed at their offerings.
The kits generally have 250ml bottles
Free delivery that's fast (24hr) and from what I've used so far it's really working wonders.
If anyone else decides to order anything remember to include newcustomer10 code for 10% off your 1st order.
£33 got me clay bar and quick detailed, iron out, shampoo, glass cleaner, ptfe polish, carnuba wax, a Korean microfiber and a bottle of air freshener that'll last ages! Big choice of the latter which you spray on to fabrics footwells and in vents.
The stuff is far better to normal off shelf offerings.

Just spent 6 hours giving our 1.5 Pulse a full exterior detail.

JJ I will get pics in a minute after I've finished a well deserved cuppa

Oh yeah included in my £33 kit was also 250ml Tyre dressing and a wax applicator
So all in I got a whole lot for my buck.
The products were all really good to use, smelt lovely and will easily last me some time. Oh and no I'm not affiliated to detailed Online just a satisfied customer making a recommendation

Thank you guys
I had taken note of the use of Aquapel from this forum, so the windscreen and side windows have undergone that.

Anyone clock that the front bumper is not standard? Should be silver but is actually now a different grey to the tridon. Complete bumper with indicators  for £45 how could I resist that

Complete bumper with indicators for £45?
I'd have grabbed it in a heartbeat as well.

Ditto...I've recently 'aquired' a front (both wings and centre) Black,
with indicators, grill and undertray...unmarked for £160 !!
It's for my ex's 454 as all the locking lugs etc on both front wing joins
were broken/snapped when car was bought, but only recently noticed
it was held together by metal brackets (inside) after it all 'moved' when
she scrapped a speed hump rather hard !
Anyway, on top of the buying price I've now got to prep it and get it
sprayed blue to match the other panels !  (It's only money...mine !)

Funnily enough, G, that's the kind of deal I'm waiting for...

My R/H wing is the worst damaged, so I could do with just that section but all panels are a bit damaged, my car clearly had a shunt before I got it- undertray missing (the remaining bits tell a story!) and a big piece of plastic on the front side missing, revealing the white styrofoam of the bumper which I painted, and cracks all over the place. Also the bonnet doesn't line up so good with the bumper. Fortunately the chassis is perfectly straight. Alignment of the frame isn't an issue.

However I don't want to spend money on a white or grey wing - respraying it will cost a bit. I'm waiting for a black corner. If I could get the whole front end for 160 it'd make my year. ESPECIALLY if it was unscuffed. Unfortunately most of the cars I find in the scrapper are missing a RH front wing for obvious reasons- crash damage is usually how they end up there.

You both did well there, I think.
