Black Friday - Projector Headlights -Retrofitlab.com

RETROFITLAB 20% DISCOUNT
BLACK FRIDAY- 23rd/24th/25th Nov !

Just a quick post to say that I got an email from Retrofitlab.com
advising me of this special Black Friday Deal of a massive 20% discount..

DISCOUNT CODE :-    RFLFRIDAY

I therefore STRONGLY suggest that anyone interested in upgrading
their 454 headlights from the original 'candle power' headlights to
these really AND I DO MEAN REALLY good projector units
then have a quick read through of the posts in the thread in the
Group Buys section:-
http://www.forfour.co.uk/forum/index.php?topic=5220.0

Then...decide on which option you want...
1/ Do you want H1 bulbs  (to be 'fully' within the Law), or do you want
the full on HID. (whichever you are happy with).
2/ Do you want them (either the H1's or the HIDs') to work in exactly
the same manner that your existing headlights work  ?......
where the outer projector lights only come on as dipped/low beam
even when you switch to main/high beam....
      OR...
would like the outer projectors to be on as low/dipped beam AS WELL AS
high/main beam when you switch to high/main beam ?
If so then you will need to ensure that you order the 'splitter leads'.

What you'll need for either is listed in one of my posts in that thread...
BUT....if you want to be doubley sure you order the right bits I would
strongly advise that you email or call the guys at Retrofitlab for their
helpful assistance. (You must have/use the adaptor brackets)

DO NOT FORGET TO USE THE DISCOUNT CODE...

NOTE:-   An advisory for anyone who decides on the HID version but wants
to stay within the 'Lighting Regulations'.....
It is possible to temporarily remove the HID xenon bulbs, unplug
the power ballasts+wiring for them, and fit H1 bulbs in their place.
l/we are not advising or telling you that you can or must do this...
the decision on fitting HID's is down to the owner of the car....ok.

So go on, grab yourself a bargain and make night driving a pleasure/fun.

Aw baggy you need to fit them :(

surely someone can help you.

G said your tester warned you off about the HIDs which is fair enough BUT just fitting with standard H1 halogen bulbs from Halfords will still double your brightness

As you rightly say JJ, the Retrofitlab projectors will take a
standard Halogen H1 bulb (in other words do not fit the ballasts
and extra wiring etc), and that thye will give a massive improvement
in light output and performance over the originals, and I did advise
Baggy of this option if she did not wish to have any issue with
her maintenance/MoT garage if the HID's were fitted....

That option is what mr singh chose and fitted to his car, and I think
I'm right in saying that he is more than happy with the performance of
them over the originals, so l'm surprised Baggy hasn't gone down that
path rather than just selling her set on.

baggy has driven mine and as impressed with the lights, but I have HID's fitted as my forfour had headlamp washers.

i did say to baggy that i could fit them and there would be slight wiring modifications will have to be made due to the diffrent bulb being fitted.

i did also advise on not buying bulbs from halfords as, in my opinion they are over priced and was better getting the bulbs from a local motor factors.
