Baby on Board!
« on: December 17, 2018, 07:13:19 PM »

Just thought I'd post a quick message...

I've finally put the 'Baby On board' sign in my ForFour..!!

My lovely daughter Charlotte was born last month. It's a bit late to post, but better late than never, eh? Mum and baby are both doing very well indeed.

Once I find a free image hosting site that won't shut down imminently, I'll post a lovely pic for y'all.

My daughter found (on recommendation from lil.smartie I think)
that a Boogaboo Bee fitted in the boot without any problem.
Not sure if she still has it.....hmmm...I'll ask out of interest.

Massive thanks for all the props and good wishes!!!

We have a travel system for the baby already which most certainly won't fit in the boot!! Fortunately, we don't live in the sticks, so all our daily necessities are close by (doctor, supermarket etc)

HOWEVER, we are planning to drive 12+hrs in the summer for a holiday on the Portuguese coast (peniche é fixe, for those who understand!) and I will be looking at a more lightweight buggy for travelling- I will take your suggestions into serious consideration, eg. bugaboo.

Thanks again!! Happy 2019 all!

just make sure that baby isn't sat in the car seat for more than 90 minuets during the journey

something to do with the spine of a baby... cant remember exactly, plus them car seats are unbelievably uncomfortable. you should see my youngest stretch when we open her car seat belts

You’ve got a point. Regular breaks are part of the plan anyway - 30m to 1h off the road every three hours worked when I drove to Italy. Portugal is about the same distance for me.

Perhaps I’ll need to look for a particularly comfortable seat in that case, not sure we can stop every 90 mins....
