I've always liked Elans.  Although I was only primary school age, the combination of the Lotus Elan and Emma Peel was more than enough to seal a place in my heart forever.

The Elan was a wonderful drivers car whilst it was working, just make sure to avoid  a side impact( that applied equally to several other 50s & 60s limited production cars, but none more so than the Berkeley range which were  absolute deathtraps)
