Totally illegal to use on the road....
Sure it might have an MoT...from the time that it was presented for
the test with all the body panels fitted, but now... it is far from legal.
To start with there are sharp edges everywhere, plus exposed mechanicals
and electricals, and the exhaust will be completely exposed to any
prying or inquisitive fingers and hands. In addition, the tread of the
tyres are totally exposed without any form of cover/'mudguards'
(like a Lotus 7 or road legal buggy would have), so that's illegal.
I could go on and on, but you get the general picture.
Having said all that, it could be used 'off road'...sort of like a dune buggy,
or mud plugger, but it would have to be transported on a trailer to used
at those sort or places/events. Either that or it could have a 'custom' body
contructed for it....but it would then need representing for an MoT before
it would officially be allowed on the road.
I suppose if one had a full set of Roadster panels lying around then
it could be put back on the road again..........
