I agree but disagree. All the "best" competitions are crap but I disagree as to why a forfour doesn't win it. Here's why it doesn't.
(trimmed for space)
Exactly the point I was making... covered my points in my previous post - I think we are in agreement.
Modifieds are over the top monstrosities and you'd have to be completely ridiculous with yours in making it so vulgar with crazy fibreglass, wheels, four tons of fake plastic chrome, a stupid paint job covered in vinyl and several grand's worth of ICE and a W12 engine.
There's no point in considering best-kept as year old small cars with easily swappable panels can enter.
Last year's winner (with the personalised numberplate) broke the competitions rules (upon inspection of it's tax disc it wasn't of age to enter) thus it was a small vehicle purchased recently - and if put in a garage and barely driven...
Best dressed is about being as stupid as you can with fluffy toys and stickers - and of course, some wool.
Not forgetting, the 'judges' are the visitors.... and you know who most of them are.
I wouldn't go as far as labeling people personally but I do agree on a mindset.

I would agree with us having a stand but I don't agree with segregating ourselves completely - coming in convoy and parking en-bloc.
It doesn't show us as being part of the community, which I think everyone would agree is what we want.
